The University of Gothenburg tackles society's challenges with diverse knowledge. 58 000 students and 6800 employees make the university a large and inspiring place to work and study. Strong research and attractive study programmes attract researchers and students from around the world. With new knowledge and new perspectives, the University contributes to a better future.
The Department of Health and Care Sciences conducts education and research with a focus on care, health and people's living conditions. We educate nurses, radiographers, specialist nurses and midwives with the aim of meeting society's need for competent and committed health care professionals. Research at the department spans a wide range of areas, but shares a common foundation in person-centred and evidence-based care. We are nationally and internationally leading in person-centred care, and this perspective permeates education, research and collaboration with the health care sector.
The department is part of the Sahlgrenska Academy at the University of Gothenburg and is located at Campus Medicinareberget, in close proximity to Sahlgrenska University Hospital. This is an environment characterised by interprofessional collaboration, clinical relevance and high academic quality. The department has approximately 1,200 students enrolled in programmes leading to professional licensure in health care, at both first- and second-cycle level.
We welcome applicants with diverse backgrounds, experiences and perspectives. Diversity is a strength, and we actively work to promote an inclusive and gender-equal working environment where all employees are given opportunities to thrive and develop. To support a healthy balance between work and private life, we offer flexible working arrangements. The University of Gothenburg is a government authority, which means that you are entitled to specific benefits, generous annual leave and a favourable occupational pension scheme.
