Vehicle Hardware is responsible for the technical development of Volvo Cars' car programs comprising Interior- , Climate-, Body-, Closures-, Exterior- and Chassis systems. In our daily work we create ideas and innovations to meet future demands. We use the latest technology and advanced methods to develop the safest cars, offering our customers a genuine driving experience, with high focus on the environment aspect.
At Vehicle Hardware Program Management, we are looking for a Unit Program Leader. The Program Management team consist of program leaders in both concept and industrialization phase and leading programs globally from Program Strategy Finalized (PSF) to Final Status Report (FSR). For the moment we have an open assignment for a Vehicle Hardware Unit Project Leader.
As an UPL you are responsible for Vehicle Hardware deliverables when it comes to Time, Technic and Cost. You will report to the Technical Project Leader as well as Vehicle Hardware management. Your team will consist of SPL 's (System Program Leaders) from Vehicle Hardwares different system areas.
The main tasks as a Unit Program Leader are:
* Lead Vehicle Hardware deliveries according to Time, Technic and Cost
* Proactively deliver according to milestones
* Be the Vehicle Hardware representative in an active way at project fora such as TPM and DRM-P
* Manage internal project meetings such as TPMU, DRM-U, WEED/WIDE
* Create a strong team where the members can perform at their very best
* Establish the technical-logical plan for Vehicle Hardware deliverables
* Being proactive and a part of the solution in technical matters
Your qualifications:
* Master of Science in Engineering or equivalent experience
* Excellent knowledge in our product development process VPDS (Volvo Product Development System), systems and tools
* Documented skills as a Project leader, at least as SPL
Personal qualities:
* Strong leadership skills and drive for result
* Highly structured and used to summarize and present the status of your work
* Able to take decisions in right time for securing deliveries
* Holistic approach with capability to contribute to a balanced car for our customers
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills (Swedish and English)
* Capacity to drive several issues simultaneously
* Strong interest and passion for cars
