Your responsibilities
Taking care of waste generated from Nuclear power plants operation in an effective and sustainable manner is a key strategic item for the lifecycle value of the business, and lays the foundation for next generation of Nuclear in Sweden. The newly established Nuclear Back-end and Waste Management department has the responsibility for governance and steering of a highly effective Back-end system in Sweden.
In the role as Regulatory & Stakeholder Lead you will be responsible to increase Uniper's impact and visibility on the nuclear waste back-end system and its related risks, with focus on the regulatory risks, and you will ensure that Uniper's impact on the Back-end system is in line with overall strategies and CCGR lobbying plans. The role will coordinate & bridge the legal, CCGR and business activities in the Nuclear Back-end related questions. You will be an important part of the team in strengthening the relationships within the ownership structure as well as actively seek ways Uniper can impact the back-end system. You will operate closely to other roles in the Back-end department for a holistic view on how the Back-end system operates. You will work towards all nuclear assets we have ownership in related to nuclear waste and spent nuclear fuel.
The position is placed in Stockholm or Malmö, some traveling will occur.
Your accountability includes
Drive regulatory development within Back-End based on Uniper's business objectives in Sweden.
Development of Uniper's official positions in Back-end related issues.
Lobbying and advocacy work towards regulatory institutions and external partnerships and stakeholders.
Ensure quality of documentation and administration following the work with industry stakeholders and regulatory institutions with regards to lobbying, advocacy, board & management meetings as well as viewpoints and opinions.
Responsible for referrals, committee reports and other relevant regulatory activities.
Systematic management of regulatory risks
Responsible for gathering business requirements and bridge business, legal and CCGR activities.
Drive internal communication on industry activities related to back-end.
Interface to specific supporting areas and other internal departments on relevant topics
Represent Uniper in various external contexts and participate in various projects with Uniper's partners


Uniper is part of Sweden's critical infrastructure, and our operations are covered by, among other things, rules related to protective security, export control and nuclear non-proliferation.
We will therefore carry out security clearance of all positions and complement with register control for security classified positions, according to the Protection Security Act. Health and drug tests are performed if applicable.
Your profile
We expect You to have:
• University degree within relevant area such as Business Administration, political science, or Engineering
• At least 5 years of professional experience and you likely have a background in industry or infrastructure business.
• Advanced communication and presentation skills
• Strong interpersonal & networking skills
• Experience in working with external relations and pursuing issues towards different actors in society
• Fluent in Swedish & English is required.
• Relevant experience from working within the energy sector, and especially the nuclear business is considered as an advantage.
To succeed in this role you have high personal drive and level of commercial awareness, you are able to see the big picture and strive towards finding a pragmatic approach. You have a strong analytical mindset and willingness to drive performance and change. We also see that you value and promote cooperation and are a strong team player.
