Unilabs has four laboratories for pathology / cytology in Sweden. One facility in Stockholm at St. George's Hospital. one in Eskilstuna on Mälarsjukhuset, one in Skövde at Skaraborg Hospital and one in Sunderbyn at Sunderbyn Hospital. In addition to this the group maintains and supports a number of doctors who work with diagnostics on other units or in branch offices.
Overall our part of the organization has just over 130 employees; of which approximately 30 physicians perform services in virtually all sub-specialties. We have access to conventional laboratory methods including immunohistochemistry, in-situ hybridisations, flow cytometry, molecular biology and cytogenetics
In 2013 we carried out 65000 histology analyzes, more than 40000 cytology samples, including diagnostic as well as screening program samples, and around 500 autopsies. Our biggest client is the Swedish public healthcare system and we also accept samples from many private health care providers.
Today Unilabs Sweden has about 800 employees and operate laboratories and radiology departments in hospitals, and primary care units. We are part of the Unilabs group with about 5000 employees in eleven countries across Europe.
Duties
Clinical, general pathological diagnostic work, supervision of resident physicians and participating in the development of the laboratory procedures will all be important contributing functions of your role.

Qualifications and qualities
We are looking for a cellular pathologist with broad expertise, preferably with knowledge of cytology and with a few years experience. You should be driven by working with a broad diagnostic work-load, but ultimately we encourage you to immerse and develop a deeper knowledge in a relevant mutually interesting area.
For us it is important that you are a good networker who can collaborate with clinics, participate in rounds and interact and share experiences with our pathologist physicians in other regions and sometimes even with Unilabs laboratories in Europe.
