We at Outokumpu in Avesta are looking for an engineer to support our maintenance department in keeping our production reliable and safe while continuously improving our processes.
As a Maintenance/Media Engineer, you are a key person in the work of ensuring that the media equipment (e.g. compressor stations, cooling water supply, gas plants, steam boilers, pressure vessels, etc.) is reliable and available for production. You are an expert in operative functions and maintenance where you ensure that the equipment meets the legal requirements regarding environmental and energy regulations.
In this role, you will be the person your colleagues come to when asking for expert advice. This means you will have a broad area of responsibility and an exciting challenge to reach solutions to a wide range of problems. Your troubleshooting skills, ability to plan and prioritize, and holistic perspective will ensure that the production facilities are operated in a safe, reliable, and sustainable manner.
Your role
Responsibility for your area of expertise across Avesta Works
Construction and calculation of new installations
Participate in continuous improvement and other types of projects
Collaborate with the Piping team with questions concerning PED and material selection
Responsibility for LPG on site
Assist with internal training of members of different departments
About you

Further qualifications:
Engineering degree focused on HVAC/VVS, mechanics, or similar working experience
Several years' experience working in the steel industry, with maintenance, and/or within media/operations/oil & gas is a strong merit
Expertise in hydraulics, piping, or welding is meriting
Fluency in Swedish and English is required
