Job DescriptionAt Massive, Artists with technical skills can enjoy working with industry leading tools to create some of the most advanced content ever seen in video games. Working on the UI team involves you in all aspects of developing the game; participating to help shape the entire pipeline of game features from concept to design and further to implementation. With our in-house engine "Snowdrop", content creators get instant feedback on their work allowing for constant iteration and improvement as well as the ability to easily prototype new features.You'll be part of a friendly team including Artists (both technical and traditional), Designers and Programmers, working closely together to create world leading UI on James Cameron's world of Pandora.This is a permanent position based in Malmö, Sweden, and requires working onsite. Applications will be reviewed whilst the job-ad is posted.ResponsibilitiesCreate UI using our Node Based Visual Scripting Language within our Snowdrop game engine;Work closely with all disciplines necessary to deliver features on time and with the players best interest in mind;Ensure our UI is as optimal with continual iteration and development.QualificationsYou're friendly and approachable, you enjoy creating content and like to take the initiative. You have an eye for quality, learn things quickly and are always seeking to improve. You enjoy solving problems and are able to think about how to things work technically equally as much as how things should look and feel. You work well in a team and can communicate proficiently in English (both written and oral) and can give and receive feedback well.A relevant portfolio of your work is required.Proven work experience with node based visual scripting tools (e.g. Unity or Unreal).Experience developing UI or a directly related field within game development.An interest in accessibility and optimization.Ability to find and debug issues within content.Comfortable realizing content based on concepts and design.Having already helped to ship AAA games would be a huge bonus.Good to know As we aim to build a team who can continuously push the boundaries of what's possible within game development (and because we love to learn and grow from the people around us), we might ask you to do a practical test as a part of the recruitment process.
