To provide day to day supervision, direction and leadership to Guest Service Officers and drivers including working closely with front office team. To ensure that they are adhering to all hotel policies, procedures and standards while striving towards total guest satisfaction. To ensure that the above-mentioned areas are working in a professional manner at all times. Responsible for hiring, training and development of all Guest Service-related associates, so they are hospitable, outgoing and guest oriented.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILIES
• To be responsible for all activities of the Lobby Restaurant, which include staff scheduling, delegation of job tasks, monitoring and supervision of service.
• To possess management ability that ensures a successful and profitable handling of the Lobby Restaurant.
• To hire, train, mentor, motivate, supervise and discipline all department employees.
• To initiate and maintain a friendly yet discreet and unobtrusive service in: greeting,
seating and waiting on all guests.
• To control reservations and seating of the restaurant with regard to the restaurant's
seating capacity.
• To ensure consistency and correct service techniques for all meal periods to be followed
by all staff members.
• To understand all food and beverage items ordered, including ingredients, methods of
preparation and proper service.
• To keep updated with industry trends. To conduct bi-yearly comparative analysis when
required.
• To control the stock and ensure availability of all materials and supplies.
• Within the scope of authorization of the company, being able to deal with emergencies independently, and report the results to a higher level of decision-makers in a timely manner.
• To check through customers' complaints and suggestion regularly from booking platforms and other feedback channels and implement relevant countermeasures.
PREREQUISITES:
• Minimum of two years of experience in similar position. Should be familiar with basic computer skills and previous experience in using Hotel management software's, Telephone Switch board.
• Must be able to communicate in English writing and speaking and other languages are advantages. Good personality and charming is important to be the Lobby Manager/Duty Manager in the way to represent himself/herself on behalf of hotel management.
