The Consultant role
As a consultant you may be placed at different customers. UCG will assist with extra training when needed. As a consultant we need you to be flexible and to easily adapt to a new environment.
Education/training
Our roles require a basic technical education, sometimes university level.
Experience
We require at least 3 years of relevant job experience for all roles, mostly more.
Required experience for this role:
• experience as Devops Cloud engineer, specifically:
• Experience of scripting in Bash and Python, as well as the ability to adapt to new languages
• Professional experience in Terraform and Ansible
• A strong background with Linux, Ansible and Terraform on AWS
• Experience with Kubernetes and containerisation technologies
• PostgreSQL (RDS and/or normal clustered configuration)Ok
• Network skills including VPNs, routing, load balancers and firewall
• Knowledge of high availability systems, security and scaling
Working language: English
Qualifying requirements:
• Windows/Linux support
• OpenStack
About the position
• As DevOps Engineer you will primarily develop and administer the server/network infrastructure for running the company SaaS products.
• Jointly responsible for developing and administering the server/network infrastructure
• Maintenance, installation/upgrade projects, backups
Monitoring, troubleshooting and documentation of all systems and well as some system support
• Scripting in Bash and Python
• Automation of AWS using Terraform and Ansible
