The Consultant role
As a consultant you may be placed at different customers. UCG will assist with extra training when needed. As a consultant we need you to be flexible and to easily adapt to a new environment.
Education/training
Our roles requires a basic technical education, sometimes university level.
Experience
We require at least 3 years of relevant job experience for all roles, mostly more.
Required experience for this role:
• Solid understanding of C/C++ in real time environments.
• Good understanding of embedded technologies - digital signal processing, real time operating systems and/or multi-core systems
• Beneficial with experience in fieldbus communication protocols such as EtherCAT, CAN, Modbus, HDLC, TDM
• Experience in debugging and root cause analysis of problems related to above technologies
Working language: English
Good to have:
• Advantageous if you also have experience in C# (.NET) and software development using Visual Studio, data communications, Linux, SQL and Azure DevOps Server
• Experience of SAFE
• Ability to work via Microsoft Teams
• Swedish
About the position:
• work as an Embedded developer for implementation of HW-near appplications
• However, team member for the agile teams and this assignment can work off-site from anywhere within Sweden.
Responsibilities:
• Work as embedded developer
• Serve as consultant to management and customers regarding advanced technical studies, their potential application and the resolution of complex problems.
• Coordinate major engineering tasks of substantial impact. Proactively develop and implement measures to improve operations and customer satisfaction.
• Work on complex functions where high performance, availability and robustness are key elements. Example designs are proprietary high-speed optical communication protocols, high-speed buses, EtherCAT, data collection, filters, and functions for HVDC control and protection.
• Work with rapid prototyping and productification. You will have access to modern tools and labs for the complete development cycle, from early prototype testing to final system verification.
