The Consultant role
As a consultant you may be placed at different customers. UCG will assist with extra training when needed. As a consultant we need you to be flexible and to easily adapt to a new environment.
Education/training
Our roles requires a basic technical education, sometimes university level.
Experience
We require at least 3 years of relevant job experience for all roles, mostly more.
Required experience for this role:
• Several years proven experience of administrating large production PostgreSQL instances
• Including configuration/optimisations of cache settings, query costs, replication, remote table etc
• Knowledge of partitioning, sharding and indexing of ever growing database (~16TB)
• Understanding of locks and query performance optimisations
Work language: English
Meritous:
• Experience from coaching, mentoring
Your tasks:
• work as senior PostgreSQL DBA with Royalties and Reporting
• At the core of the systems is a PostgreSQL 11 database
• implement new solutions to support future growth and scale.
• Responsibilities will also include mentoring and knowledge sharing of current team.
