hela Sverige Two Senior Design Engineers wanted at Chassis Structure, Equipment & Transport Adaptation team!Do you want to be part of a highly skilled engineering team who are developing trucks for the future? We are looking for two driven and curious engineers who wants to join us and take on the challenge together with the rest of the team.As a design engineer in the Chassis Structure, Equipment & Transport Adaptation group you will belong to a team of 16 skilled and experienced engineers. We are responsible for developing new components and systems on the Heavy Duty trucks platform for the future trucks as well as improving the current products.Role DescriptionYou will be part of a group that work closely together but you will have your own area of responsibility where you will drive the development of new components for this area. The two open positions in the group is as Engineering Task Leader responsible either for 5th wheels and Trailer bow for connecting the trailer to the truck or for Battery boxes and the Module under cab which is a new technical area for the group. As a design engineer you will be working in an international environment in cross functional teams with colleagues inside Volvo as well as with component suppliers worldwide. To be successful in this role you need to have excellent communication skills and enjoy working in a cross functional team where you as a Senior design engineer are the leader responsible for the end result. The Chassis Structure, Equipment & Transport Adaptation group has a wide range of components within our scope of responsibility e.g. frame structure, engine- and cab suspension, fifth wheels and couplings as well as all the components on the outside of the chassis such as fuel tanks, battery boxes, fenders, exhaust installations etc. There are great opportunities for personal development inside the groups area of responsibility due to this wide range of components.RequirementsYou have a degree of MSc in Mechanical engineering or B Sc with several years of relevant professional work experience5-10 years of engineering experience from product development is a must and experience from automotive industry is preferredYou have some years of experience in 3D-modelling and PDM-systems, preferably PTC Creo and PDMLinkYou have excellent communication skillsYou must be fluent in English, both written and spoken since you will be working in a global environmentSo if you are a person who enjoys challenges and appreciate working in global environment together with your colleagues we are looking forward to hear from you!
