Mining and Rock Excavation Service (MRS) division has the vision to be the best service provider for customers in the Mining and Rock Excavation industry and the engineering department has a big role in this.
Job description
The project office is a new department and focuses on developing processes for design for service, reliability and serviceability. The department is responsible to make sure that MRS is prepared before the formal release of new products from the capital divisions.
In this role, you will drive the setup of new MRS products and the maintenance of the existing products, such as:
• Parts breakdown
• Critical parts
• Aftermarket kits
In addition, participating in MRS projects focusing on Midlife services, Certiq, RigScan and the serviceability audits.
A good cooperation with the different MRS teams and Capital Equipment (CE) Research and Development (R&D) team is the base for a successful product improvement, being able to provide our customers high quality products and services.
Even though the majority of the work will be done in-house, the job may involve some travelling.
Experience, knowledge and education:
• Good technical understanding of the Atlas Copco equipment, underground and/or surface
• Experience from mining and construction industry/equipment is a benefit
• A good understanding of the hydraulic, electrical systems as well as CANBUS and PLC control systems is a benefit
• Good computer skills and experience in the system Teamcenter
• Relevant university degree in engineering and/or several years practical engineering experience
• Fluency in English, written and verbal is required
• Project management skills and experience is beneficial but not mandatory

Mining and Rock Excavation Service is a division within Atlas Copco's Mining and Rock Excavation Technique business area. It provides a complete range of services with the aim of maximizing customers' productivity. The division focuses on spare parts supply, professional service, support solutions and training. It has distribution centers in China, Sweden and the United States, and is based in Sweden.
