http://www8.umu.se/umu/aktuellt/arkiv/lediga_tjanster/312-569-10.htmlUmeå University carries out world class research on many fields. We offer an attractive and inspiring environment for education and research ? more than 30 000 students have chosen us. The policy of the university is to respect the equality and individuality, regardless of gender or ethnic background. The many disciplines within the university curricula like to collaborate with industry and various organizations within the region and the whole world.
Technical chemistry is one of the laboratories within the Department of Chemistry. Technical chemistry carries out research and post-gradual researcher education within the areas of sustainable development, catalysis (especially heterogeneous metallic and enzymatic catalysis), ionic liquids, reaction kinetics, modeling of chemical reactors and biorefinery (particularly forest biorefinery) technologies for lignocellulose. We are part of the new chemistry platform at the Umeå University and can provide education within the various aspects around green chemistry and sustainable development for the students. To this new group we now search two new Group Leaders (Assistant Professor, post-doctoral research fellows) with the focus on future, bio-based fuels and chemicals as well as development of the processes within the Nordic bio-refineries.
We seek for individuals interested in developing tomorrow?s sustainable and competitive forest-based (lignocellulose) biorefineries. The applicants should posses a doctoral degree (Dr.Sc. or equivalent) within chemical engineering, chemical technology, chemistry or equivalent and have a deep understanding within the fields such as heterogeneous catalysis and kinetics and ionic liquids, as well as expertise and practical experience in the synthesis of heterogeneous, catalytically active materials. You should have the ambition to establish internationally competitive research related to Bioenergy and chemicals.
