What do we offer?

You will get the opportunity to be the first one to start up an entirely new Volvo and trouble-shoot it! Through creative, curious and initiative you will find and apply your own sustainable solutions. If you have a burning interest in cars and are not afraid of challenges, the fault-tracing workshop is the place for you to prosper. You will be involved in and develop the technology of the future cars by testing our electrical and software solutions in various forms of powertrain rigs, as well as in complete test cars.

We belong to the department Product and Quality, which consists of several Sections, such as Workshops, Pilot Plant & Concept Center and Test Object & Vehicle Management. We work with complete cars and with engines and power trains. During the development phase, we build, maintain, update and dispose the test objects, always with the customer's best in mind.

Within the team, it is obvious that we share our experiences and knowledge. However, mostly you will work independently, because we are located at five different geographical locations in the PV area. We also get to travel around the world and sometimes you do this as well, on your own.

What you'll do

You will perform troubleshooting and analysis due to hardware or software problems in P&Q test cars. You will troubleshoot the car's electrical system and software parts. Further, you will be responsible for downloading software on test cars built in PVÖ.

You will perform delivery control of cars built in Torslanda and Ghent ,China and US. You will also support in test object build, as well as on cold and hot expeditions, press activities, etc. therefore you need be prepared to travel for about 20-30 travel days per calendar year.

Do you fit the profile?

You have a focus in electricity, either as a car mechanic or similar with diagnostic techniques or as an industry industrial electrician with a great interest for cars. You have solid experience in electrical measurment and if you have worked with 400-volts power, it is a benefit.

We see that you have very good knowledge of our products' software, nodes and other electrical related hardware. You are a quality-conscious person. You will need excellent computer skills, but also to be great at mechanic work.

Meritorious:
* Certified Hybrid Technician
* Knowledge in Canalyzer, Vida, DSA, Inca, etc.
* Forklift or BE-driving license
* Be able to work in KDP.

You like to take responsibility for your work and are self-managed, you are curios and never give up! You like to be in a learning environment and it is natural for you to share knowledge. You possess communication skills in both Swedish and English (written and spoken) and you hold a driving license B.
