You have a minimum of 2-3 years of diverse experience in retail and eCommerce as well as experience in performing and supporting research using a highly analytical approach. Preferably you have experience in leading in change and knowledge of IKEA Brand, culture, values and way of working.You have knowledge in the following areas:* understanding of current and emerging technology and digital consumer trends and their impacts on retail and eCommerce* the fast-moving digital landscape* experience of market analytics techniques to create understanding of emerging trends, technologies, and practices* understanding of the cost drivers in digital development and the commercial consequences of the technical decisions made* strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage and communicate with senior business- and technical leaders* IKEAs corporate identity, core values and vision of creating a better everyday life for the many peopleTo be successful in this position, you need the ability to spot new trends particularly in the technology space. It is also important to take complex information and summarise for a broad stakeholder audience. You also have the ability to work analytically driven, using qualitative and quantitative data to perform market analysis and trend monitoring to drive product/tech recommendations, with some support from Ecosystems & Exploration Manager.You know how to demonstrate IKEA leadership by using sound judgements to make timely and effective decisions. You are also able to actively acquire new knowledge and skills, and championing new methods and processes to improve performance as well as to understand the complexity of IKEA business and the role of technology as an integrated part of the business. YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES As a Trend Monitoring Leader, you will actively drive the continuous identification and adoption of emerging technologies into existing products or new solutions. Specifically, you will identify emerging digital trends and drive adoption into existing products or new solutions, focusing on creating business advantage and growth for the IKEA business.You will:* identify short/long term trends worth tracking and identify the value of these trends to the business* research new product opportunities, influenced by trends and mapping of consumer insights* analysis of global digital and technology trends and developments in retail and eCommerce* compile information from different sources for frequent data-driven trend updates to the Capability Areas* provide insights into emerging technologies, businesses and opportunities that IKEA should look to embrace and exploit* support market sizing, competitive analysis, financial modelling and revenue forecasting analyses to support business case development for introduction of new technologies and ideas* support and take action on trend tracking requests from the Digital Office Manager, Digital Product Manager, Digital Technology Manager and Data & Analytics Manager, in consultation with the Ecosystems & Exploration Manager* provide support to ongoing trend monitoring activity in the markets and compile insights on market level* communicate new digital developments to relevant stakeholders both in technology and business* work across initiatives within INGKA Group, steering towards an environment with continuous adoption of state of the art technologies that will drive business valueIn this role you will report to the Ecosystems & Exploration Manager.Location for this position is at Hubhult office in Malmö Sweden. ABOUT THIS WORK AREA We set the digital agenda to keep IKEA leading in an uncertain and fast-moving environment. We drive the development, provision and operation of our digital products and services through the use of new and existing technology and agile delivery methods to deliver at pace.At the same time, we provide a home for digital skills to both develop and extend the technical, people and business skills needed to ensure continuous development and growth of our digital capability.
