Overview
We are currently looking for a Treasury Operations Director who will lead and develop the Treasury Operations function within SCA Treasury. The function is responsible for managing SCA’s currency and interest rate exposures, short term funding and liquidity management as well as in-house bank for SCA’s subsidiaries. As Treasury Operation Director you propose hedging strategies within the framework set by SCA’s financial policy and ensure best execution of transactions in the financial markets.
You will report to the Vice President & Group Treasurer and be based at the SCA Headquarter in Stockholm and lead a team of five dealers based in Stockholm and Brussels. As a leader you will focus on continuous improvement of the function and its team members.
Main Tasks
Responsible for execution of financial hedging transactions for SCA
Monitor, analyze and propose transactions related to SCA’s transaction, translation and interest rate exposures
Lead the short term funding under SCAs market programs
Lead the in-house bank operations securing liquidity to subsidiaries as well as FX hedging in line with SCA’s policy
Ensure efficient communication of events and price movements in the financial markets to other relevant stakeholders within SCA
Ensure that SCA have sufficient number of counterparties to ensure that best possible pricing is achieved on financial transactions
Ensure compliance with SCA’s financial policy within relevant areas
Keep updated with changes and best practices for financial risk management
Support Group Treasurer with relevant information on financial market development.
Key Competencies
BSc majoring in Finance or corresponding
5-10 years’ experience from similar position in bank or corporate
Extensive knowledge of global financial markets with focus on currencies and interest rates
Strong commercial sense with an ability to act on opportunities
Proven track record of achieving high risk adjusted returns in relevant markets
Fluent level of English both spoken and written, Swedish would be a plus
We are looking for someone who is forward driven and structured
Strong communication and leadership skills
Teamworker and able to work under pressure
Takes ownership of the function and the company, and turns strategy into action.
