We are an organization of approximately 650 employees, globally connected to deliver logistics solutions with world class operational excellence. We ensure that transportation is purchased, packaging is made available at our suppliers, material is transported to our production facilities, and vehicles are distributed to our customers on time. We design and optimize the Production Logistics supply chain for the Volvo Group, prepare logistics for new products and drive the Sales & Operations Planning process. We are now looking for Transport Product Responsible to our Transport Product Overseas department. The person should be the link between carriers, sales, plants and goods receiver, secure the delivery of vehicles to correct location at the correct time and be a central point of contact for handling daily demands. This person has a clear and action oriented mindset to contribute and generate value for the Volvo Group by driving quality and improvements towards a holistic target.
You will report to:
Manager Transport Product Overseas Gothenburg, Transport Product
Key responsibilities:
Proactively identify deviations by monitoring the system
Immediately Inform receivers of deviations
Act as a central point of contact to handle all operational issues, reported deviations and special requests
Performance follow up on carriers deliveries
Book capacity on ocean vessels or road trailers, A4D knowledge is an advantage
Cooperate with the internal/external stakeholders
Represent the department in operational meetings and critical supplier meetings on request
Identify and eliminate waste in our processes (continuous improvement)
Occasional travel may be required.

Background and Key competencies:
University degree in Logistics and/or education in relevant field is an advantage
Knowledge in VPS and lean principles
Knowledge within logistics and operations management
Experience from production or transportation environment is an advantage
Proficient in Swedish and English is required

Volvo Group Trucks Operations encompasses all production of the Group's engines and transmissions, as well as all production of Volvo, Renault and Mack trucks. The organization is responsible for spare parts supplies to the Group 's customers as well as for designing, operating and optimizing logistics and supply chain for all brands, production facilities and distribution centers where the Volvo Group operates.
