hela Sverige Hector Rail AB is a young and fast growing private railway company with operations in Scandinavia and Germany. Our business strategy is to offer traction to industry, shippers and other railway operators. We own around 40 locos, have 135 employees and continue to expand.
We are seeking to recruit 5 new colleagues to our International Resolutions Centre as part of our 24/7 Operations Centre based in Hallsberg. The team has full responsibility for the successful operation of our trains throughout Scandinavia and Germany.
Working in this highly pressured role, you will be asked to deal with any issues that arise during the course of the day which includes task such as; re-planning personal across Scandinavia, ordering timetables, re-planning trains and locomotives, take decisions on when to delay or cancel trains as well as continuous coordination with our Operations Centre in Germany.
The role involves regular internal and external contact, ensuring a consistent flow of information exists with our drivers and customers as well as working with our customers to resolve issues that arise. You will be responsible for reporting trains in to our internal systems as well as keeping a well document record of all actions and decisions taken. You will also have contact and coordinate with terminals, shunting personal, workshops and the railway authorities.
We are looking for people that have a logistical education or background. Experience from the railway industry is not essential; however an interest in railway logistics and technology is required. We seek people who are flexible, work well under stress and are stimulated by a continually changing environment. You will be self-managing and therefore must feel comfortable with making decisions and stand by them, as well as understand when to change your decision based on new information. As part of a team, you should be able to communicate well with your colleagues, handing over the work you have started and continuing on from where your colleague left off.
Excellent Swedish and English language skills are required, both verbal and written. You should also be able to communicate with our Danish drivers/authorities. German is a merit. You should have a good knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Outlook and Excel as well as being able to type at least 25 words per minute.
The position is shift work including nights and every second weekend on a permanent basis. We wish to fill the vacancies as soon as possible. As we strive to create an equal workplace, we especially encourage applications from women.
