Transmission Function Developer

Description of work

As Transmission Function developer - Propulsion Control you will work in an organization using agile software development methodology and will work within all development steps from idea creation, requirements definition, implementation and verification. Typical duties include designing and developing model-based transmission control algorithms, implementing these algorithms in Matlab/Simulink/Targetlink/SystemDesk, software integration, testing and verifying using MiL/SiL/PiL/HiL testing concepts, in-vehicle calibration and demonstration, and production software design and release.

Qualifications

• BS or MS in Mechanical, Mechatronic, Physics, Electrical Engineering or related engineering field and an interest in powertrain control engineering
• Good experience with C coding
• Good overall knowledge of transmission control systems
• Experience with model based tools, modelling, simulation, development, testing, and validation.
• Experience in data acquisition tools like (ETAS INCA, CANalyzer, etc.)
• Experience within CAN communication is a merit
• It is an advantage if you have experience within one or several functional domains: Clutch control, Shift control, Drive strategy, Shift-by wire functions, Functional safety strategies, Transmission OBD, failsafe and reliability functions.
• Creative problem solving skills
• Knowledge about agile development techniques.
• A self-starter who is able to work cross-functionally with other organizations and suppliers
• Fluent in English.
• High level of interpersonal skills to work effectively in a team environment
• Cultural awareness, especially Asian - European culture
• Driving license type B.
