Transmission Design Engineer

We are looking for a person interested in Product Development tasks in general, but preferably towards transmission system and component design. You have ambitions and energy to develop yourself and the company in a way that later will lead to new tasks and responsibility. As a person you enjoy working in a team and have the ability to inspire your team colleagues and feeling engaged by goal settings. Since the job consists of an extensive net of contacts both internally and externally your networking skills should be very good and prioritized
The transmission department within Product development is responsible for the development and design of transmissions for Marine applications. It is located in Gothenburg and Chesapeake US and manufacturing sites are in Sweden and US. The department is today about 15 persons working in different roles. The group is organized to have a holistic view of our products so the team are taking care of all the different stages in the product cycle of the transmissions ? from new development projects via product maintenance to quality issues and feedback from the market. This approach also means that you as a designer can be faced with a wide variety of tasks, from component design to leading the system design within a project.
Your CV should contain listed qualifications in academic degrees (minimum Bsc), good skills in English and Swedish, Swedish driver license. Skills in PRO-E and Volvo AB specific product development tools is meriting.
