We are looking for a Translator to translate and interpret written and audio pieces, making sure to maintain their original meaning, format and tone. To be successful in this role, you should have a keen eye for detail and be fluent in both the Swedish and Arabic languages.
Translator responsibilities include but not limited to:
• Translating articles and news reported in the Swedish media
• reading and thoroughly understanding the context of given material, using specialized dictionaries
• Proofreading finished pieces of work
• Translation of correspondence to and from various government agencies.
• Translation a variety of documents including literary, legal, research, technical, scientific, educational, and commercial material.
• Ensuring translated texts conveys original meaning and tone
Requirements:
• Proven work experience as a Translator, Interpreter or similar role
• Fluency in both verbal and written Swedish and Arabic. Proficiency in English would be an advantage but not a requirement.
• Excellent proofreading skills with the ability to identify grammar, spelling and punctuation errors
• Good knowledge of content editing tools
• Familiarity with translation software
• Time-management skills
• BSc in Translation, Interpreting or similar field
• Additional certification in Linguistics is a plus
• Discretion and confidentiality are mandatory
