Are you a precision medicine expert hungry for implementing new ideas, innovative ways of working and continuous learning? Do you want to join a team with excellent scientists in an environment where absolutely everyone can thrive?

The RIA Target & Translational Science (TTS) department is an agile environment, with a science and patient-focused culture. Our mission is to understand disease mechanisms at the molecular level, identify the most effective target and the right patient population and close the gap between bench science and bedside clinical practice.

As Translational Science Lead (TSL) you will have a key scientific role, developing and delivering precision medicine strategies to select the patients most like to benefit from our medicines. You will join the Precision Medicine Discovery, seeking to lead the development of precision medicine in respiratory disease, driving patient segmentation and delivering translational clinical validation.

Depending on your previous background and experience, the seniority level of the role can be adapted. We are looking forward to share this journey with you.

You will be accountable for building the translational clinical validation package for respiratory targets. To do this, you will utilise public and proprietary biobanks as well as AZ MeMo studies.

By collaborating with other co-workers, you will provide projects with the expertise needed as well as continuously strengthen the link between targets and disease phenotypes and endotypes by bringing precision medicine propositions to the clinic. Together, you will set and deliver precision medicine strategy and clinical target validation strategy.

As an authority within precision medicine, you are able to influence and utilise the external scientific community with respect to translational science and precision medicine. We expect you to share your continuously deepened mechanistic understanding of targets and their link to patients, disease and clinical outcome with colleagues, building a collaborative and constantly improving atmosphere.
