hela Sverige The Strategy & Transactions department within Business Unit Onshore is now looking for a dedicated Transaction Manager to join Vattenfall's rapidly growing Wind business
Business Area Wind is responsible for Vattenfall's Onshore and Offshore Wind as well as other non-hydro Renewable activities like PV/Solar. Today we develop, construct and operate wind generation in Sweden, Denmark, Germany, the Netherlands and the UK. In addition, we have a clear strategy to develop our Solar operations further.
The Strategy & Transactions department in BU Onshore is responsible for executing transactions on both buy and sell side and driving strategic initiatives. The department plays a key role in growing the BU's pipeline of projects, whether that be by acquisitions, partnerships or dealing with complex land or commercial matters. The department also supports country-specific departments with setting long-term plans. As the team members in the department possess deep market know-how, the department is also responsible to lead cross-department strategy initiatives in the BU.
Your responsibilities as a Transaction Manager
We offer an exciting and varied position within Vattenfall's Wind business - a rapidly growing field offering excellent career opportunities. The position is a combination of transaction management, strategy and business development for all Vattenfall's onshore wind markets and gives you a chance to be an integral part in creating the new energy landscape and to gain knowledge of the wind industry.
You will be leading and/or supporting transactions (together with Staff Function M&A) including management of due diligences, valuation and negotiation of commercial terms and conditions and contribute in cross-BU strategic initiatives. You will be working closely with the country development departments in setting country strategies and business development initiatives. Together with the country development departments, you will drive growth initiatives through acquisitions and partnerships as well as developing and implementing commercial tools to enable local participation (i.e. financial participation by third parties). As Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs) become increasingly important in the realization of onshore wind projects, you will also support the work to secure project PPAs when and where needed.
In summary, the role includes:
• Leading and supporting transactions on both buy and sell side to enable further growth and commercialization of onshore wind projects
• Supporting BU Onshore on general strategy initiatives and country departments on setting country strategies and roadmaps
• Assisting in portfolio growth initiatives e.g. through developing brownfield portfolios or joint development agreements
• Supporting or leading work to secure project PPAs when and where needed
Your profile as a Transaction Manager
• 3+ years of work experience, typically within management consulting, M&A or as a business developer in a line organization
• Experience from the wind energy or renewable energy sector
• Experience from leading multi-interface projects in an international environment
• Strong interpersonal skills, ability to function well in a team environment
• Fluent in Swedish and English both written and oral
• Experience and developed skills within negotiations is an advantage
• Academic degree - in either Finance or Engineering or relevant field
You will report to Head of Strategy & Transactions within BA Wind's Business Unit Onshore.
