Are you the one that will take our training concept to the next level? Would you like to play a major role and have impact on the organization's reputation, objectives and future business? In this role, you'll be in charge of internal and external training. We are looking for a Training Manager to join the ABB Grid & Power Quality Solutions team within the Power Grids division, operating a global business out of our office in Västerås, Sweden.
Your role is a part of the Power Grids business, which is the world's leading supplier of power and automation products, systems and service solutions for the entire value chain from power generation to the transmission and distribution of electricity. Our offer spans transformers, HV products, systems for power transmission and solutions and automation for integration and interconnecting power grids - to enable a stronger, smarter and greener grid. From November 1st the Power Grids business will be a separate and independent company in Sweden. During the second quarter 2020, the Power Grids business will be divested to Hitachi and a Joint Venture will be created.

Your responsibilities
Being responsible for Grid and Power Quality Solutions training concept.
Being up to date with new possibilities within the field of training, usage of adequate supporting tools, having presentations and using suitable business models that are up to date.
Organizing and coordinating trainings, both external for our customers and internal for our colleagues.
In our delivery projects holding both class-room trainings and on-site training based on customer requirements.
To your help you will have a training core team with a dedicated member from each department as well as knowledge trainers that will perform the training.
Together with the core team and the trainers, you will be producing the training material for each training occasion and evaluate the feedback from the customers.
In this highly visible role you will be part of the Global Center of Competence team and you will interact cross functionally in the organization.
You will be working closely with the filed services team since many of the training activities are performed on site by commissioning engineers.
You will also interact with the project managers, the tendering managers and the engineers.

Your background
A degree from university in pedagogics, engineering or other relevant education.
Some years of experience from training.
The most important aspect to succeed in the role is to have the right attitude.
You are driven, well organized, communicative, have strong leadership skills and a passion for training.
You are able to influence, managers and colleagues at all levels of the organization.
Fluency in English and Swedish is required and fluency in Spanish, Portuguese, German or another language would be considered added value.
