Dina arbetsuppgifterWallen us Wilhelmsen Logistics' Oceania trade has grown with almost 100% during the last 5 years. In order to maintain our targets as well as improve our performance we are looking at expanding our voyage management team.
The voyage management team is responsible for the Voyage Planning and Space Allocation for all vessels in the Europe to Oceania trade and consists of 4 people as per today.
Managing the allocations is a key component in WWL's optimization process, directly affecting the profitability of the trade.
Main responsibilities as space coordinator:
• Allocation of available space across the services in the EU-OC trade. Provide the agreed space/service product to contract customers as well as space required for liner cargo/ad hoc bookings - in order to protect WWLs market position and maximize trade results.
• Monitor short term forecasts based on input from area offices, as basis for optimizing the voyages/space in the Oceania trade.
• Monitor cargo volumes per port to ensure that port calls are supported by sufficient volumes (inducement minimums).
• Continuously analyze allocation trends and patterns in order to maximize profitability
• Execute and settle space charters with other lines within established limits, and legal boundaries to ensure that relevant information is distributed to the other line and other parties concerned in due time.
• Provide Trade Performance with input to Trade report & Long Term Forecast (LTF) such as Vessel Utilization and Voyage Estimates.
• Prepare and distribute EU-OC trade schedules
Operator tasks:
The role will also include the responsibility of supporting the Trade's operational work, both with day to day tasks as well as being a back-up for the Trade Vessel Operators (TVO) during defined periods. The TVO's are responsible for planning, scheduling, executing and communicating vessel movements.
Utbildning och erfarenhetA successful applicant for this role will possess the following:
• Maritime degree and have a minimum of two years of nautical experience as a Nautical Officer.
• Ability to balance various customer- and corporate requirements/interests
• Knowledge about the drivers that influence results in ocean transportation
• Good communicator, with high fluency in English
• High stress tolerance
• Ability to balance quick decisions and simultaneous tasks at the same time as seeing the bigger picture
• Result orientated
• Genuine interest in the shipping business
