Maersk Line Scandinavia is currently looking for a highly motivated individual to join our cluster Trade and Marketing department as Trade Analyst for one of our largest trades, Far East Westbound. In this position you will report to the Cluster Trade & Marketing manager and be part of a highly efficient and ambitious commercial team covering trade management as well as communication and marketing.

As a trade analyst in our cluster you will have the opportunity to work with our senior commercial team and develop your own understanding of the industry and market drivers, as well as commercial competence within the Maersk group.

Key Responsibilities
• Adopt and communicate string strategies within our cluster and enhance execution
• Deliver trade import volumes in line with our cluster targets agreed with HQ
• Provide our sales organization with guidance on our commercial priorities, continuously evaluated based on business performance and market outlook
• Together with our sales leadership team translate our commercial cluster strategy into local market plans for Norway, Sweden and Denmark respectively
• Optimize networks through strategic cargo mixing based on industry and market intelligence in the cluster
• Identify and act on market rates and market share as well as monitor competitor behavior
• Find new opportunities and market leads together with sales and ensure a healthy customer pipeline supporting the trade strategy
• Articulate and communicate product propositions in the cluster proactively working with business development for Scandinavia
• Participate in cross functional initiatives in the cluster related to our business strategy
• Monitor and rectify any revenue gaps for incremental services offered
Who we are looking for
The position requires a strategic thinker who is not uncommon to a high level of interaction with many stakeholders. The candidate should appreciate getting into details while maintaining the overall focus of the cluster strategy.

• has a proven track record with 3 years relevant trade management, marketing and/or sales experience within the shipping industry
• has in depth knowledge of the local market, competitive landscape, products as well as competence in revenue optimization
• is a pro-active and result-oriented team player with the ability to influence key stakeholders without direct formal authority
• is a strong communicator both verbally and written
• Effectively manages time and priorities by maintaining structure and focus, always looking ahead
• is customer orientated and able to translate customer needs into opportunities
• has a genuine interest in the market and industry trends in which we operate
• is fluent in English and preferably also one of the Scandinavian languages
