Our division Propulsion & Controls (PPC) is responsible for delivering propulsion and control systems in the front edge of technology to a worldwide market. Our systems are the heart, the brain and the muscles of the train.
As our electrical engineer you will work closely with other functions within Bombardier in order to design the traction motor electrically that shall fulfil customer performance requirements as part of an optimized propulsion system.
You will take part in the engineering team designing the propulsion system in order projects towards end customers as well as bid related work (choice of motor, thermal simulations etc) and product development projects.
In smaller projects you may also act as drives functional lead. The responsibility for a functional lead is, besides the engineering tasks, to plan, manage and report progress of the drives part of the project.
Since we are a small team you need to be flexible and have the ability to work with various tasks in parallel.
In this role you will gain an in-depth knowledge of the product including functionality and product data.
Occasional business trips are expected in order to meet with suppliers and customers.
As our preferred candidate you have:
A general interest in technology
M Sc or PhD in electrical engineering, electrical drives systems or power systems.
Relevant work experience is considered but not required.
Experience in FEM electromagnetic simulation tools beneficial
Experience of testing is beneficial.
Fluent in English, Swedish is beneficial or willingness to learn.
