Overview:

The PDU CD (Product Development Unit, Component Development) develops components for the Component Based Architecture (CBA), which is used by applications across Ericsson. The PDU CD is part of DU IT & Cloud, BU IT & Cloud Products. The PDU CD is a corner stone of Ericsson whose goal is to maximized return on investment in R&D by promoting reuse and reducing time to market.
Our Development Center Operation & Maintenance and Application Services (OMAS) is providing software components with features and tools based on CBA technology. The key competences within the design center are within System Functions in the Application Service Layer, e.g. O&M and modelling, Trace and troubleshooting, Development Tools, License Management and Signaling.

Job description:

We are developing GUI tools, (standalone and web service based), for handling of O&M models and we need a software developer with experience within web development.

Qualifications:

As a web developer you have a solid experience and understanding of the main web technologies HTML5, CSS3 and JavaScript. Experience with some JavaScript frameworks such as jQuery, AngularJS, React, D3, Mocha is also expected. You should be familiar with sever side integration using popular programming languages including Java and Python. Any experience with browser-based open tool integration platforms, for example Orion, Eclipse Che, Electron Atom would be a bonus.
You are keen on solving problems as they arise and have a genuine technical interest in understanding the systems requirements and behaviors. Your English is fluent and you are a pragmatic, people and solution oriented person who has proven communication and team skills.

We also expect that you have skills in some of the following areas:

• Knowledge about virtualization/container technologies, such as KVM, Dockers etc
• Skilled in software architecture design in object oriented environments
• Good understanding of open source communities
• Agile ways of working and continuous integration
• Writing technical documentation and producing presentation material
