R&D Operations
R&D Operations provides the tools, processes and methods to improve the operational performance of R&D. The main responsibilities within the department are to provide Configuration Management, Release Management, IT-support, to provide access to the Source Control system as well as maintaining the issue tracking system and to have Tools support. R&D Operations is also responsible for providing the build and test execution pipeline (named Continuous Delivery pipeline).
Tools Expert
The major strategic tools at R&D must have special attention, making sure they're used and improved in an optimal way. Establishing the Tools Service function is one of the primary targets for the upcoming year, making sure R&D has the tools support to deliver QlikView - the Business Discovery Solution. Main stakeholders are the Line managers, the Principial test architect, Test and Dev-leads in combination with the Configuration Manager which requires a highly organized person with good communication skills.
The role
Implement Tools Lifecycle process (adding, removing, updating tools)
Be responsible for all licenses regarding R&D Software (planning, purchasing, forecasting, budget)
Make sure the tools and processes support the test matrix
Develop, implement and maintain the Tools service for R&D Operations
Take responsibility for standard dev and test environment setups
Document usages as well as dependencies related to tools
Asses and implement tools baselining
Enable transparency of information and documentation
Provide technical support on the platform, and document the changes.
Responsible for requests of changes and the actual changes in security coherent to R&D standards.
Your profile
Experience from a similar role
Proven skills on the Microsoft platform is necessary (experience of other platforms is a plus)
Interests in handling licenses are required
Strong verbal and written skills, and to have the ability to train people when needed
Teamwork skills and ability to deliever results in a fast paced environment
Structured and organized - ability to prioritize, coordinate resources and organizing
Analytical - analyzes critically and takes systematical and rational decisions upon relevant information.
Service minded - Since R&D Operations is a service organization
Ability to adjust respond to multiple demands (including unanticipated events), and prioritize and communicate accordingly
The position is based in Lund, Sweden.
