Service and maintenance represent an increasing proportion of operations in this area. Volvo Aero offers an extensive range of services, including maintenance, repair and overhaul of aero engines and industrial gas turbines, sales of spare parts for aero engines and aircraft as well as sales and leasing of complete engines and aircraft.
As a Tooling Design Engineer, you will be working closely together with our Senior Manufacturing engineers, Manufacturing engineers, CAM-engineers and other competence areas in our pre-production process. Your task will be to give support in terms of tools and fixturing solutions in order to establish good productivity for new as well as existing products. Since we are using UniGraphics as our engineering platform, most of our pre-production is based on 3D-models.
Requested qualifications:
You have a technical education, preferably at academic level or equivalent. We require solid skills and experience from tooling and/or manufacturing engineering. Previous experience from model based engineering tools, preferably UniGraphics NX. You also have experiences within the automation area since this is highly focused within our production and processes.
Further, we believe that you have an analytical mind and possess communication skills in both Swedish and English.
You are an open and positive person with a demonstrated ability to manage continuous improvements.
