Thinfilm is looking for a test engineer that will be working in the test and measurement group within the field of electrical characterization and measurement. The main task will be to characterize different types of printed electrical components such as transistors, diodes, memories and sensors. The characterization work ranges all the way from detailed device characterization, required for modeling work, to reliability testing and production testing of millions of devices. The work will, in addition to using already existing measurement equipment, also require development of new measurement set-ups. The second part of the work is analysis of measurement data. As of today the main software tool for data analysis is Matlab, but Python (NumPy) is also sometimes used.
Previous experience in characterization of electrical components and programming Matlab and/or Python is a requirement.
A typical workday will involve different tasks, but it is of importance to be able to handle and appreciate routine work without losing focus. Since our current workforce consists of a mixture of different nationalities it is important to feel confident in speaking, reading and writing English.
Requirements:
• M.Sc. in relevant area
• Matlab or Python experience
• Ability to communicate in English, both orally and in writing
• Ability to work in a team
• Careful and observant
