Target:
This project is intended to give Epiroc a tool to use when defining GHG (Green House Gases) footprint from the whole life cycle of production and use of our equipment. From mining, through our manufacturing suppliers, to our manufacturing and assembly, to the use of product and to end of life.

Background:
GHG emissions and especially CO2 emissions is in focus worldwide to ensure compliance to the Paris agreement and also to the UN Sustainability goals. Epiroc wants to contribute in best way and need tools to identify where we emit the most and how much. Also our customer's requests this information in a higher content.

Mission:
Your mission in this project will be to identify emissions in all steps through a products life cycle. Mainly by using known facts from already done studies around universities and other sources. You also need to identify if we can use simplified calculations or more complicated ones. A tool in Excel or similar software can be used where we easily can input our known values about the machine and get GHG output in a simple form.

* GHG emissions through the lifecycle of our remanufactured parts

Qualification:
This is more of a desktop analyse and you need to be eager to find and understand Environmental and Sustainability analysis and studies. You need to have a high interest in these questions (GHG, global climate) with an understanding and balanced point of view of other stakeholder's interests. It is of great interest if you also have a basic understanding for manufacturing and industry in general.
