The Computational Fluid Mechanics (CFD) group, belonging to Research &
Development, has a long tradition in using CFD as a tool for engineering and
design process. We are currently 12 persons working with the areas of
aerodynamics, thermodynamics, climate comfort, aero acoustics and contamination.
In all areas we work in teams with attribute responsible, test
engineers, stylists and designers to develop and verify the attributes and
systems in our future products. An important part of our work is to continuously
improve our working processes and methods. Cooperation with the other brands
within Ford Motor Company is done on virtually everyday basis, both in shared
vehicle projects and method development. Furthermore, close cooperation with
universities and participation in global research programs are an essential part
of our long term development. Job description: As a
thermodynamics CFD engineer you will be involved in planning, preparing and
carry out CFD analysis in all phases of vehicle programs. This includes
complete vehicle under hood thermal management analysis, consisting of front end
openings analysis, heat exchanger performance evaluation, prediction of
temperature distribution in engine bay etc. Also, system simulations as
radiation from hot components are also included. Together with system
attribute responsible and test analysis engineers for thermo and fluid flow, you
will be part of a highly skilled team able to handle the complex situation of
heat management we have in our cars today. Qualifications:
Higher technical education, preferably Master in Science or PhD. in
fluid mechanics or equivalent. Proven industrial and/or academic experience
in CFD will be highly valued. Fluent in speaking and writing Swedish and/or
English, preferably. Today our main tools is ANSA, Harpoon, Tgrid,
Fluent and Ensight and skills in all or some of them will be highly valued.
Personal profile: Strong interest in affecting the product
using CFD. Driven and Self-motivated. Self-starting characteristics with
good analytical skills. Creative iinterest in developing methods and
processes. Positive mindset with an understanding for cooperative processes.
