The Capital Equipment Supply Chain division (CE SCO) is responsible for the manufacture and supply of Filling machines and Distribution Equipment from receipt of order until performance is achieved at the customer’s site. CE SCO manages equipment suppliers, operates the Modena, Lund and Minneapolis manufacturing sites and is responsible for the overall result of the Global Capital Equipment business including the Installation Business.
Work description
Tetra Pak are looking for a technical skilled Purchaser who will be members of the Program Purchasing department, belonging to the Supplier Management Capital Equipment organization.
You will manage demanding purchasing activities according to the Product Development programs/projects’ requirements, ensuring the best purchasing support.
The position is based in Lund and you will work with suppliers globally.
The work includes some travelling.
Your main responsibilities will be:
• Organize, manage and drive all purchasing activities related to technology/development projects he/she is responsible for, being the primary interface for the project manager and contributing to project targets
• Coordinate within the other SM departments the sourcing and contracting activities in according to Supplier Management process and in alignment with overall Supplier Management Strategy.
• Negotiate with or without the other SM departments all purchasing conditions related to technology/development projects he or she is responsible for, according to the Supplier Management Process guidelines
• Lead the SM project teams
• Support Project Manager with overall cost target follow up, securing all necessary specifications to be available to suppliers and highlighting/ challenging all purchasing implications related to specifications requirements
• Secure relevant suppliers are delivering on time and with right quality (with support of the quality Department), including proper order issue, order’s specifications management to and order expediting according to supplier Management process.
• Follow up of Purchase orders he/ she is responsible for
• Ensure that the project managers are updated with any kind of supply issues related to the development projects
• Drive short term corrective actions to supplier’s non performance, within the development projects he/she is responsible for and with the support of Quality Department
Who are you?
You have an engineering or economy education, preferably at University level.
A minimum of 3 years experience from purchasing or working with supplier relations is a must, preferably with in a technical orientated organisation.
You are skilled in supplier management, negotiation and cost analysis. You are able to read a technical drawing and are able to talk with technical design teams. You are also fluent in English, both written and verbal.
Your verbal and written communication is clear and concise with both team members, colleagues, internal stakeholders and with suppliers. Furthermore you have integrity, are independent and are a self motivated team player.
As a person you are able to create and manage strong personal relations at a professional level.
