We are now looking for a Testing & Laboratory Specialist. You will be part of Power Transformer Service, a unit within ABB Power Transformers in Ludvika. Transformer Service performs advanced services to industries, utilities and OEMs around the world. Our offers help customers to optimize their transformer by minimize risks for malfunction, improve performance and ensure expected life.

Service
A division within ABB Sweden. Service with ABB Sweden has a nationwide service organization today with 700 employees in 23 locations. They offer fast and professional service. Our personnel help optimize operations and production at facilities. We do this by upgrades, studies, analyses and training in our technology areas of drive systems, motors and generators, power transformers, reactors, robotics and control systems. Our service is based on rapid troubleshooting and corrective action plus preventative maintenance that enables us to increase availability and reduce running costs.

Transformers
A business unit within the Power Grids division. Transformers primarily manufactures power transformers, reactors and transformer components. The unit also supplies electrical insulation materials, fiber composite materials, machined and welded components. The unit has 765 employees.

Tasks:
Your tasks will be very varied, with opportunities to develop to more advanced and larger tasks. In addition, you will have the unique opportunity to work in a global environment, with customers both locally and internationally.

Your main assignments will be laboratory work, with analyzes of oil and paper, as well as order processing.

You have a minimum of high school education, combined with a few years of work experience and good computer skills. Excellent skills in both Swedish and English are required. Experience from similar activities, like working in a laboratory, are also considered as an advantage, as well as good skills with Microsoft Office, ERP LN, and laboratory data systems. It is an advantage if you have a university degree in chemistry.

You are careful, accurate and thorough, and can easily follow routines and instructions. You consider yourself to be stress resistant, enjoy working with other people and feel comfortable with customer contacts.
