About the role

Test System Engineer supports development of test systems for new products and further development of existing systems. Supports  maintanace of the test system and takes parts in continous improvement of the production systems. Ensures that the activities are performed in accordance to the quality systems and according to standards and requirements within the medtech industry.

Essential Responsibilities

 Decide upon test strategies and test solutions for test system development within project scope and in accordance to product specifications and test requirements. Decide upon maintenance strategies and updates of test systems used in production. Decide on strategies to achieve compliance with quality and regulatory requirements in test methods. Purchasing of equipment for test system development and test systems in use in accordance to Purchase Request procedure.

• Development of  test systems, software and hardware.
• Take product requirements, production flow, cost and throughput into account.
• Develop production system that comply with quality standard and regulatory requirements.
• Establish validation and documentation of test systems according to procedures.
• Offer suggestions to refine and automate test procedures.
• Suggest, participate and drive continuous improvement activities by supporting the implementation of process and product quality improvement initiatives.
• Support development teams and provide pre-qualification and verification testing.
• Support laboratory productivity, including testing, building fixtures, calibration and data collection.
• Provide knowledge of test equipment set-up, functional operation, and interconnect of related equipment.
• Review necessary support documentation and maintain documentation for each test
• Aware of and comply with the Breas Quality Manual, Quality Management System, Quality Management Policy, Quality Goals, and applicable laws and regulations as they apply to this job type/position.
• Complete all planned Quality & Compliance training within the defined deadlines.
• Identify and report any quality or compliance concerns and take immediate corrective action as required.
• Support compliance/closure of Regulatory and Quality requirements before completing Design Outputs/Program Deliverables.

Qualifications

• Bachelor Degree in Mechanical engineering, Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
• 5-10 years work experience from engineering and development
• Understanding of qualification of equipment and test procedures.
• Strong interpersonal skills, including good technical communication. 
• Previous project or team work experience.
• Embedded design experience.
• High knowledge of LabView and other programming languages.
• High knowledge of programming tools.
• Product knowledge of Breas product line.
• Microsoft Office.
