Role description
• Excellent oral & written communication skills with ability to interact with various levels within organisation
• Possess ability to lead & steer defect management meetings to achieve actionable outcomes
• Possess good working knowledge of software development lifecycle & agile methodologies
• Demonstrate experience of working in high pressured environments with strong time management & prioritization skills
• Ability to manage repeatable standard processes along with an ability to find, own & resolve ad-hoc issues
• Must have ability to adapt & learn from other team members & have ability to establish strong relationships with cross functional teams.
• Ability to leverage those relationships for purpose of influencing where appropriate & resolving any conflicts which may arise.
• Ability to explain technical processes & articulate knowledge of the Defect Management process to a wide audience Experience & knowledge of large global deployments. Technical understanding of End-to-End retail architecture is a plus
• Lifecycle management of all defects within all development & pre-production environments Lead/chair daily triage calls with representation from Testing Teams, Technology Development, Legacy, Business Leads, etc. & to provide clear minutes & actions.
• Initiate & manage escalation process for any defects exceeding SLA's Maintaining absolute integrity of defect source/ALM & ensure all changes to defect status are within guidelines of defect management process Develop weekly defect status & trending/aging reports Triage defects by assigning appropriate priority, determining ownership of defect, & routing defect to appropriate resource
• Collaborate with Testing & Release/Change Management teams to maintain awareness of new code changes, new test cycles, & new defects, bug fix scheduling & retesting
Mandatory competence and experience:
• Demonstrate experience of working in high pressured environments 4-7 years experience (Senior)
• Ability to explain technical processes & articulate knowledge of the Defected Management 4-7 years experience (Senior)
• Strong 'hands on' interface test experience (min. 7 years)
• Experience testing a Minimum Viable Product design, in the context of a large-scale SAP global rollout
• Experience in complex business & technical environments involving multiple system integrators operating with a global delivery model
• SAP Transformational change experience in large multi-cultural organisations & cloud-based SAP Implementations projects in a global rollout context
• SAP S/4 HANA, Ariba, cloud & SAP Retail
• Ability to drive teams in a diverse international & distributed team
• Strong working knowledge of ALM
• Strong communication & decision-making skills - ability to balance conflicting needs
• Strong stakeholder management across all levels
Preferred competence and experience:
• SAP S/4 HANA, Ariba, cloud & SAP Retail
• Finance process knowledge (R2R, OTC, SP2, MDM)
