Position Purpose:
This position is in the area of Software Product Development for the Life Support Solutions Respiratory & Sleep business. The engineer will develop software for test system in PCB and system test applications. The position is organized within our R&D department at Breas Medical in Gothenburg, Sweden. The work involves software and hardware design, coding and unit testing in a LabView environment.
Essential Functions (Responsibilities):
The software development engineer will be responsible for:
• Development and execution of software testing.
• Design documentation as specifications, design architecture, description, etc.
• Work with cross-functional teams to design, develop and build reliable test systems.
• Support and maintenance of existing test systems.
Qualifications/Requirements:
• Bachelor?s degree in Computer Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years LabView experience.
• Work experience with MS Windows and other office tools.
• Good experience in English both verbal and in writing.
• Understanding/knowledge of hardware design.
• Exceptional organizational, problem solving and detail orientation skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills are needed along with the ability to work well in a team environment and within projects.
Desired:
• Familiarity with Modern Design and Tools.
• Knowledge of Graphical Oriented Programming (GOOP).
• Experience in developing real-time embedded software systems.
• Experience with software and requirements management and process tools; ClearQuest,
Starteam etc.
• Excellent verbal and written documentation skills.
• Experience in developing medical software.
• Knowledge of FDA, MDD, IEC, and ISO regulations and guidelines.
