About the Role
We are now looking for a HIL / SIL/ In-Vehicle-Test Engineer to support one of our customers within the automotive industry. You will join a team of embedded systems engineers and verification specialists working to ensure that software and hardware meet functional and safety requirements — from early-stage simulation environments to testing in real vehicles. The work spans the full verification chain, supporting development of safety-critical systems in line with industry standards.
What You Will Do
You will design, maintain, and execute tests across HIL, SIL, and in-vehicle environments. Your work will be central to verifying and validating embedded software and electronic systems throughout the development cycle.
Your responsibilities will include:
Setting up and maintaining test rigs and simulation environments for steering control
Developing and executing test cases based on system and software requirements
Performing fault analysis and debugging across hardware and software layers
Supporting in-vehicle testing, including use of diagnostic and measurement tools
Documenting test results and contributing to verification reports in line with ASPICE and/or ISO 26262 processes
Who You Are
You are a team player who takes ownership of your work and communicates clearly with both developers and system engineers. You are comfortable moving between structured rig environments and hands-on vehicle testing, and you understand how your work fits into the broader development and release process.
You hold an M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline. Candidates who have developed equivalent skills outside of formal education are also encouraged to apply.
You have hands-on experience with HIL and/or SIL testing, and are familiar with in-vehicle testing methods and diagnostics. Knowledge of communication protocols such as CAN, LIN, or Automotive Ethernet is expected. Experience with scripting in Python, CAPL, or MATLAB/Simulink is a plus. A valid driver's license (Class B) is required for roles involving in-vehicle testing.
