The group "Verification & Validation" within the Complete Bus department consists of electrical verification engineers, mechatronical verification engineers, field test engineers, measuring & testing technology engineers, and test leaders. We are today a group of 28 persons of various ages, nationalities, and gender, and our main focus is on verifications of the future products that are under development.
What do we offer:
The job involves extensive contacts with other groups within the department and the entire platform development organization as well as external contacts with people from other areas, other Volvo Bus sites, and other Volvo companies. You will work in close cooperation with the other members of the test team, and there are possibilities for networking with people on all levels of the company.
Our Mechatronical Verification team mainly focuses on installation- and feature verification in test rigs and complete vehicles.
Working as a Mechatronical Verification engineer in the Verification & Validation team means to:
• Discuss and agree on test details with the test requesters
• Prepare for testing together with mechanics
• Perform testing in rig or complete vehicle
• Analyze the results, and present them in Engineering Reports
• Develop and maintain test codes
• Evaluate, propose, and implement new tools and processes
• Contribute to continuous improvement and future ways of working
• Contribute cross-functionally in the group and towards other departments

Qualifications:
• Strong ability to co-operate as well as being able to work independently
• Good communication and coordination skills
• Fluent in English, spoken and written
• Structured way of working
• Master of Science or Bachelor of Science in Engineering or equivalent
• Practical experience in tools such as CANalyzer, ATI Vision, IPETronik, PROTUS & PROTOM
• Knowledge about vehicle systems, functions, and features
