hela Sverige We are looking now for an experienced Test and Quality Assurance Manager to Product & Production, Assurance Services organization within Telia IT. In Product & Production we continuously consolidate and develop our OSS backend systems, thereby, Simplicity and Automation are driving our activities to support our business and stakeholders in the most efficient way. Your next challenge?
As a Test and QA Manager within this team, you will have a key role for our Service Assurance success. You will lead and manage the test activities within an IT Capability as well as across multiple teams and projects delivering complex end-to-end technical solutions in a fast moving and growing organization. You will be instrumental in ensuring the quality, reliability and performance of our systems and will be involved throughout the lifecycle from inception to successful delivery.
Typical daily tasks involve e.g. planning meetings with Product Owner, Scrum Master and Architects, ensuring QA and test plans are established during Sprint plans, contributing to daily stand-ups, sharing insights of the testing progress to Scrum Master, conducting meetings with QA/Test team about their tasks and tools they use, managing the testing team's capacity and ensuring productivity, ensuring all quality gates are met by the team.
Responsibilities
Define an effective test strategy for the Capability and overall portfolio, including tools and methods.
Build quality metrics for testing, share it with team and follow-up.
Define test plans and test specifications, test suites and cases, utilize automated tools for unit, functional and integration testing.
Agree testing scope, requirements, test entry and exit criteria for each project.
Manage testing execution, including co-ordination and mobilization of teams to resolve testing issues as needed.
Document processes, drive implementation of an automated testing framework.
Manage test environments ensuring they are fit for purpose, have high availability and remain representative of production estate.
Provide testing status reports and documentation to Scrum Master, Product Owner and Management.
Lead, mentor and develop skills of a distributed team consisting of in-house and supplier test resources.
Advocate for QA best practices across delivery, introduce QA improvements and processes.
Own release activities such as defect triaging from multiple projects and ensure test packs (regression, smoke) are updated to include new functionality.
Provide capacity estimates in regular forecasting process for testing as part of an IT Capability.
Who are you?
Knowledge and experience
You have a technical background, university degree in a relevant field or equivalent work experience.
Senior level experience from Quality Assurance processes, tools & methods.
Experience as a Test Lead end-to-end in major Agile projects, familiar with creating and deploying quality assurance test plans.
Knowledge of test automation frameworks and tools supporting automation and performance testing like Selenium, Cucumber, TestNG, Java, Jmeter, SOAP UI, Ranorex, Loadrunner.
Project, document and testing management tools such as HP ALM QC and Jira.
Industry-specific skills, ISTQB (Advanced) certification.
Personal characteristic
Excellent in structured communication oral/written in English.
Excellent in time and project management making things happen.
You understand the importance of good planning when delivering quality.
You like to solve tasks as an individual or in virtual teams, where the ambition is to grow together with the team to a high level in Agile and DevOps maturity.
You are positive and open for new ideas and changes and can present them structured way to stakeholders.
