If you are enthusiastic, analytical, have a background from software development and are passionate about testing this could be the right challenge for you. As our Test Manager you will join the Product Adaptions group within department Product Development IT. The department is responsible for delivering IT to Scania's product development process at R&D.
The team you will join is working with the entire lifecycle of the application: development, implementations, maintenance and support. The application is built in Microsoft .Net.
Job description
In this role you need to have a good understanding of the IT system development lifecycle and be used to work in an agile way with good knowledge in test discipline including test automatization.
Your main tasks will be:
to drive test related issues, guide, give feedback and come up with improvements in order to always improve the delivery in our deliveries
plan, coordinate/manage test resources, execute/perform tests for different changes, from Change Request to Projects concerning changes with the area
report and follow up on trouble reports in respective tools (i.e. JIRA)
manage test cases, environments and test data
ensure that GUI design guidelines and other principles are followed
Competence profile proactive approach
We are looking for someone with a university degree in IT. This should be complemented by 2-4 years of experience working as a test manager. Furthermore you will need to have a background as a developer with several years' experience working with testing and you must be positive to participate in improving testing, test methods and tools. You also have a keen interest in new technologies. Experience in agile working methods are beneficial. In addition to Swedish, you need to be proficient in written and spoken English.
As a person you have a proactive approach and you enjoy taking on new challenges and working with a focus on quality and targets. You are also structured and flexible. You like working in a team, but it is also important that you can take the initiative and work independently. You appreciate cultural differences and have the ability to navigate in an international environment. You find it easy to communicate with close colleagues as well as with the organization at large. You are highly skilled in your area of expertise, have great ambition and the courage to take on large and complex tasks.
