Test Manager

The Test Manager reports to the UNITE Head of Deployment and is part of the UNITE Deployment management team.

The UNITE programme has the objectives of both developing a global template for the process areas in scope and to deploy that into the businesses globally that are in scope. The Test manager is responsible for the Test strategy. The Test manager is responsible for that all solutions delivered by UNITE are tested and validated to ensure that they meet their defined scope and quality expectations. The role is working on both programme level and project level. The key objective of this domain is to ensure smooth deployment of new solutions by addressing how solutions are tested and how projects secure the quality of the solution it is defined to deliver.

The Test domain is a specialist function and a cross programme function, with works with all solution areas and all projects within UNITE to provide services, guidance and tools to ensure that projects deliver efficiently and with quality.
The Test service capability is of a management and administrative nature to provide projects with fact based analytics on test coverage of the solution, test progress, and guidance on how to structure tests to ensure coverage to meet expectations and objectives of the project with a balance of time, cost and quality.

The Test Manger is responsible for a team of test specialists, and to develop the Test capability for the UNITE programme. This includes methods, standards and tools.
Coordination capacity within this domain may be allocated to projects to ensure quality.

Key tasks
• To develop and improve the Test capability and its strategy to meet the requirements of the Roadmap. Owner of the Test stream's deliverables definitions in the Project methodology and to cooperate with other streams to secure a coherent and efficient project methodology, which shall be based on standard practices. This also includes establishment and management of tools, methods and standards for the programme and its project in this domain as well as budget responsibility for the capability.
• To manage the team's resource plan and to provide capacity of the capability to all projects, which may include sourcing of external short term capacity to fulfil requirements from projects and/or develop the value of the assets within the domain.
• To provide guidance to UNITE projects for Test, incl. to train, to support in adjusting tools and approaches to be fit-for-purpose to projects, to follow-up adherence and quality.
• To interact with UNITE managers to drive the topics of Test, with the objective to ensure our projects and initiatives utilizes the Test strategy for smooth and efficient deployments where time, cost and quality is balanced.
• In key projects to be able take the Test lead role or similar. To deliver project manager's tasks in this role, such as planning, lead resources, follow-up and report upwards in the project. To identify, manager, escalate risks and issues in a timely manner.
• To push projects to secure that solutions developed are tested cost efficiently to meet the quality expectations as well as verifying that projects deliver their defined solution scope.
• To manage and drive change and challenge mind-sets in the project environment to implement project thinking and make valuable use of applying the test strategy.
• To be responsible for staff hiring, training and development and including performance reviews for all direct reports.
• To contribute in strategy development of the Deployment team, for the benefit of the UNITE programme, and deploy into own department's goals and objectives.
• Manage administrative activities regarding test management.

Your profile
• Extensive Test management experience from major ERP or large project, incl. experience from test tools and test executions.
• Quality focused with an analytical mind.
• Strong collaboration skills and engagement with stakeholders within the project environment and support them in their collaboration with others when needed in order to drive the topics of test management to secure smooth deployment projects.
• Leadership skills with the ability to create vision, set direction, provide coaching and guidance and, through direct or in-direct leadership, influence others to achieve results
• Good interpersonal skills with the ability to work with people from different cultures, disciplines and personalities.
• Strong communication and facilitation skills
• Enthusiastic, innovative and collaborative approach.
• Energy, drive and self-motivation
• Project management skills
• Ability to work in a complex change management environment handling the uncertainty and challenges this includes.
• Excellent command of the English language, both oral and written (Other languages are an advantage).

The position will initially be located in Gothenburg, Sweden, but this may change over the time due to the Roadmap for the UNITE programme.
