Our products consist of both hardware and software. We are now looking to expand our product test team based in Linköping, Sweden.
Scope Of Responsibilities / Expectations
Product Testers form a team assigned to perform system level testing and verification of our products. Our focus is on the customer and the quality of our products.
The Test Manager will be responsible for leading an efficient Test team. It is essential the manager understands the discipline of testing and how to efficiently implement a testing process while fulfilling the traditional leadership roles of a manager. Beside the local team, you will also work closely with and coordinate test teams on other Motorola sites around the world.
Responsibilities include:
• Defining and implementing the role testing plays within the organizational structure
• Defining the scope of testing as well as planning, deploying and managing the test effort for each release / delivery
• Deploying, managing and improving the appropriate processes, tools and test methodologies to meet the testing mandate.
• Implementing and evolving appropriate measurements and metrics.
• To be applied against the Product under test.
• To be applied against the Testing Team.
• Acquiring and retaining skilled testing personnel.
• Managing and growing the team as required for meeting the testing mandate.
Specific Knowledge / Skills:
• 3+ years of experience with qualified Product Testing
• Advanced knowledge of Product Testing theories and practices
• Leadership experience
Beneficial Knowledge / Skills:
• Experience of using automated testing on system level within an organization
• Experience in customer facing environment
• Experience of a managerial position with direct reports
Additional Requirements:
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Swedish and English
• Travelling will be required
