You will be part of High Voltage Products in Ludvika. We develop, test, manufacture and sell high voltage products for transmission and distribution of electrical energy. The division has manufacturing units for surge arresters, circuit breakers, capacitors, power cables, instrument transformers and other associated equipment. We also offer service to ensure product performance and to extend the lifetime of the products. In addition, we offer after sales support including spare parts, training, commissioning and service.
The High Power Laboratory in Ludvika is unique and one of few laboratories in the world for testing of high voltage products. The laboratory is accredited by SWEDAC and at the cutting edge of technology. We are continuously investing in our premises and equipment.
Uppgifter
As Test Engineer at the High Power Laboratory, you will be responsible for testing throughout the entire process, from calculations to connection of the circuit, testing and documentation. The task involves type testing according to international norms, as well as development tests on behalf of our customers who are located worldwide. All tests are carried out in teams, where you as Test Engineer will be responsible for the entire plant, which also includes safety responsibility. Further, you will analyze the results and write technical reports, primarily in English. Besides testing, you will develop the operations together with your coworkers. To have customer contact is a natural and inspiring part of the work. There are great opportunities for you to grow professionally within ABB.
Publiceringsdatum2012-10-25KvalifikationerYou hold a Bachelor of Engineering within Electrical Power or have equivalent knowledge. It is qualifying if you have experience from testing and related standards, such as IEC, ANSI and STL Guides. The position entails many international contacts, which requires proficiency in written and spoken English. You should also have good skills in Swedish or at least be willing to learn the language. You can easily perceive technical information and convert theoretical knowledge into practice. Further, you have the ability to manage tasks on your own according to given prerequisites, but you also enjoy working in teams.
