While working as a test engineer you gain comprehensive knowledge of the gearbox management system and a good overview of how the functions are connected in the software. The work consists of a big variety of tasks; such as analysis of requirements, development of test cases and scripts for verification of new functionality and performing tests in both vehicles and simulated environments.
In the role as test leader, you are responsible for planning, prioritizing and following up test development for new functionality, as well as evaluating and compiling regression tests and giving recommendations on the approval level for the test object. You will work in parallel with other test leaders and drive the development of test strategies and processes. As a test leader, you also act as a sounding board for function developers and test developers in the system test domain.
You and your skills
As a person you are responsible, structured and proactive and encouraged by technical challenges. You have an ability to quickly familiarize yourself with advanced problems with a desire to find creative solutions together with your colleagues. As the service involves many interfaces, you are responsive to various input and have no difficulties making new contacts.
For the test engineer role, you need experience in programming and software development. In the role as test leader, experience from working with test strategies and coordination is of greater importance. As test leader you believe in building relationships with teams and stakeholders, inspiring and motivating others working towards a goal.
Interest in vehicles and more specific knowledge of the powertrain components are an advantage. You have a relevant university education and a European driving license for a car. You are excellent in communication and master both Swedish and English in speech and writing.
