The client is designing, manufacturing, installing, commissioning, and providing aftermarket service for a wide variety of drilling systems and equipment.
To the office in South Norway, Kristiansand we are now looking for Test Engineers to join the team.
The department is working with design, testing and development of electrical and control systems. Due to increasing workload the client needs to strengthen their workforce. The position will primarily involve development and testing of control systems / instrumentation for cranes and winches, but can also include direct work projects.
Responsibilities will primarily be:
Testing and developing offshore cranes and cranes with active wave compensation for production workshops at home and abroad.
Programming of Simatic S7 PLC and Siemens display systems.
Be involved in the testing and commissioning of cranes on rigs and ships worldwide.
Periodically participate in the design of electrical systems and control systems.
Using lessons learned from the field to help with redevelopment and improvement of the product.
Qualifications and skills:
We are looking for positive and motivated employees who want to move to Norway on a permanent. Prior experience within the oil and gas industry is not required but is an advantage. Applicants should have electrical / instrument background as an engineer or technician. Knowledge of PLC based control systems is an advantage. We also place emphasis on good communication skills in English.
