hela Sverige Our client is a development center for products and software within the latest radiotechnology for the radio baseband, regarding for example mobile communication. In a well establishedlab-environment the development and test of hardware and software is being conducted. This is regarding products that uses radiotechnology for communication with other components. The areas where radiotechnology is used are many, for example within mobile networks, aviation and public transportation.
About the position
As a Test Engineer you are setting up the test-environment with software and lab equipment. The setups are for example consisting of components concerning radiotechnology for the baseband, some hardware and software components for cryptation and modulation.
You will be working in projects with 1-2 Project Managers and with a team consisting of around 10 team members, among themmore Test Engineers and other roles.
The project scopes are testing of hardware that is developed for the radio-baseband as for exampletransmitters, receivers, digital cryptation and modulation.
In the lab-environment you will be working among apparatus, instruments for measuring and a facility that is customized for setting upp realistic scenarios for test with products that are in the absolute forefront of radio technology.
The work will be conducted from basic designs on how the tests shall be finally designed. Setup of the tests is done by software modules that are developed since before and often reused. In some cases there are no ready module, which means that one has to be developed, which is done in a development environment.
When the testmethods are gathered, they will be tested against the products, for example switches, generators and transmitters, that are supposed to be tested. Several iterations for adjustments and further testswill be conducted together with the product designer before the testmethod is considered ready.
Your competence
This position is suitable for an electrical engineer or alike, and also experience from working withsimilar products. You can have gathered your experience from different areas where products for digital radio-communication is used, for example radar for the defence industry, error handling and optimizing of mobile networks at vendors, space communication and alike.
Your interest for radio technology is high and you are a problem solver, even for problems that have not been encountered before.
Most important is your knowledge of hardware and electronics regarding radio. There is no need for prior knowledge of programming as you can learn this on site.
