Test Engineer, Verification base tech

The department Electrical Systems Design is responsible for the entire electrical system. Electrical Systems Design consists of seven sections and the group Analysis and Verification base tech is a part of the section System Verification, which is responsible for testing all base technologies in the electrical platform. Base tech testing means integration testing and system testing. System testing involves areas as SWDL, diagnostics, Gateway, car configuration and communication within the electrical system of a car.
As Test Engineer within the group Verification base tech you will be working with software system testing. You will be given a testing area to grow into, manage and build up to your area of expertise. The group today includes 20 persons and right now we are looking for a new colleague.
Main responsibilities
Working with base technologies testing means that you establish and develop relationships with designers within almost all system areas since you will be working in all Volvo car projects.
In this position, you will therefore build and maintain a wide personal network within R&D. You have degrees of freedom to form your deliveries and to develop your own skills, both technically as well as in the area of leadership. As a part of our team, you get access to long-term development opportunities in a dynamic and continuously growing field, where you have a strong direct influence on customer satisfaction. You monitor progress in the tests and you will summarize the results to your team members and other stakeholders in the car projects.
Required qualifications
* M.Sc or B.Sc. within Electronics, Physics, Mechatronic or equivalent
* Understanding of software system testing
* Experience of one or several methods like: Diagnostics, SWDL, CAN, MOST, FlexRay
* Experience of one or several tools such as: Vector tool CANalyzer and CANoe
* Certified by "International Software Testing Qualifications Board" (ISTQB) is a plus
* Working experience with base technologies is meritorious
* Experience within Volvo Cars are beneficial
* Fluent in English, written and spoken

Moreover, you are expected to be a team player with good social and communicative skills, as well as be able to work independently. You should be organized and structured and be able to act pro-actively and with your own drive and positive attitude.
