Job description
As Alfdex's new test engineer, you will have a varied and stimulating role in our department for Quality Engineering! You plan, carry out and report specification testing for our customer applications and also work with the development and maintenance of our test equipment.
In the role of test engineer with us, you will have great freedom under responsibility: you structure, plan and carry out your own work, and go from the technical work in the workshop to being representative at the customer meeting. Both technical drive and flexibility are required here!
Your contact points are both in your team in Landskrona and at our sites in Tumba and China, for which we carry out trials and tests.
This is a role for you with a solid knowledge base in mechatronics, and who thrives in working close to the customer.
About you
To be successful in the role of test engineer with us at Alfdex, we see that you have a post-secondary education as an engineer in mechatronics or another related field. The work requires knowledge in both electrical and mechanical fields, and it is important that you have both parts with you. In addition, we want you to have at least a few years of experience from a similar role, which has given you the skills to read and understand customer specifications, an understanding of different types of measuring equipment, and the habit of creating test plans.
Furthermore, we see it as strongly meritorious if you have basic knowledge in PLC programming or other experience in automation.
It is important that you enjoy both the technical and administrative aspects, and that you find it fun and rewarding to work close to customers and conduct dialogue with both customers and suppliers. As a person, we also believe that you would describe yourself as structured and independent, and you work well in roles where you plan your own work. As you become part of a small group where you work closely together, it is also important that you are a cooperative team player, who understands that you help each other at peak workloads.
If you have worked in the automotive industry and have knowledge of systems for vehicle communication, we see it as meritorious, but it is not a requirement. The primary thing is who you are, and that you feel this is the right role and industry for you to grow in!
For this role, it is a requirement that you speak and write well in English. We attach great importance to your personal suitability.
